Assistant Training Manager

Description:
Help to manage day-to-day activities of department; manage, coach and develop associates; interact with prospective and existing customers, relationship teams, product, processing, trading, technology and project management departments; identify and implement strategic solutions that compliment our blended training approach (includes in person, eLearning, on demand as well as task and process guides). Ensure that the customers receive the best training services possible - On an annual basis Customer Trainers conduct close to 2,000 training events for the customers. Trainers travel extensively, domestically as well as internationally. Lead, manage, and participate on projects and initiatives. All associates and Assistant Managers participate in projects and initiatives at departmental, business unit, and firm level. The Assistant Managers either oversee their Direct Report participation or they participate, and in some cases, lead these efforts. Customer training is responsible for training and introducing broker dealers and RIA firms on all applications, policies, and procedures available to customers. In order for the Assistant Managers to successfully manage their department, they need to have a good understanding of the applications, processing, and trading departments as well as a very good understanding of the financial services industry domestically and globally of our customers and market segments. In addition, the Assistant Managers work closely with all of the customer, processing, trading, and technology and project management departments. Assistant Managers need to understand the competition and be able to articulate why our training department and our services are outstanding in comparison. The Assistant Managers in Customer Training are very adept at dealing with complex challenges on the customer side and internally; when managing a staff of senior-level people whose time is in great demand and spend much of their time away from the office.

Requirements: Assistant Training Manager Qualifications:
· Traveling - you need to be creative in terms of shuffling resources and meeting internal and customer expectations
· Demand for training resources is a challenge the Assistant Managers face on a daily basis
· Training is called upon to support prospective customers and new customers transitioning to our client as well as existing customers domestically and internationally
· Viewed as a real value addition to customers by the Relationship Team, training services are always included in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from all prospective customers
· Must be responsible for making decisions which affect customers and potentially their satisfaction with our client's company
· This job has a very positive impact within their department and business unit
· Additionally, the Assistant Managers are the people responsible for strategic planning and implementation of new initiatives
· Assistant Managers are frequently called on to attend customer meetings to either discuss the Training Services or assist a customer in creating a strategic training plan
· Assistant Managers need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers' senior management
· Assistant Managers also interact on a daily basis with Account and Relationship Assistant Managers and Conversion Account Assistant Managers (which are all vying for our client's resources)
· Must be very good at communicating, negotiating, and thinking strategically to make the best decisions for our client's customers
· Assistant Managers also interact internally on a number of levels
· They are very visible as leaders or team members of strategic teams, focusing on goals, roll-outs, etc.
· It is necessary that they have very strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Specific Qualifications:
