Team Lead - Software Development

Description: 
A Team Lead of Software Development needed in Orlando! The Team Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and support of custom applications and 3rd party product integrations. Additionally, the Team Lead is charged with leading specific 3rd tier support for custom applications. This hands-on position requires high levels of attention to detail to ensure that systems needed by the organization are fully functional and operating 24 x 7 x 365. The ability to respond and support the application systems in a timely manner is critical. The Team Lead is required to provide weekly status reports to their supervisor in the IT department. The ability to communicate clearly with end-users, peers, and management will be critical to the success of this role. Tasks include:
· Provide leadership role in the development and support of custom applications
· Provide oversight and guidance to their team for the effective and timely development of technology solutions
· Schedule and balance team activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings
· Provide periodic reviews of team member performance using both formal and informal mechanisms
· Mentor team members in best practices and skills development
· Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
· Develop, test, document, and implement high quality applications on time that perform according to specifications and requirements documents
· Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies
· Lead the development and enforcement of development standards that allows for the maintainability of code in a manner that supports team development 
 
Requirements: 
· The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead the development of complete software solutions for a variety of business needs and challenges. Hybrid experience with software development, networking and operating system technologies are required. Requirements also include:
· Experience managing and/or supervising teams of people for at least 3 years
· Minimum of 6 years of software development specifically in .NET (VB.NET/C#/ASP.NET)
· Minimum of 8 years of experience with MS-SQL writing stored procedures and database schema design
· Four year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or two-year degree and equivalent work experience
· Microsoft certifications are preferred
