Maintenance Supervisor - Rigid Paper & Closures

Summary:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will function as an asset manager, motivational leader, and technical resource to maintenance team members while fostering accountability. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the safe work of technical employees during general maintenance and routine upkeep of entire facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all maintenance functions for assigned shift, to include quality assurance, schedule adherence, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) including planning, scheduling, Preventive Maintenance (PM), procurement, Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and training/development of assigned employees
· Direct, supervise, and motivate assigned employees, regarding safety, quality, productivity, training, & GMP
Facilitates methodical troubleshooting approaches utilizing 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, and Formal Failure Analysis.
· Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferably MP-2.
· Control and budget maintenance costs within defined department standards
· Recommend the hiring & termination of hourly employees as necessary. Allocate manpower within company guidelines
· Meet operational objectives by attaining the goals and targets established by plant management
· Coordinate and support (as required) the development, application, production testing, and introduction of new methods, materials, and machinery
· Conduct shift meetings on a scheduled basis to facilitate plant communications.
· Conduct regular appraisals of employee performance
· Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws relative to an industrial environment e.g. OSHA, EPA, GMP, etc.
· Keep abreast with current packaging industry technology
· Addresses and administers disciplinary issues with maintenance technicians
· Understand, support, and implement all Divisional and Corporate Policies and Procedures 
· Willing to flex work schedule that includes changes from a traditional schedule to accommodate training, overtime coverage, projects and shift rotation as a requirement of the job

Preferred Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required (technical field preferred)

Preferred Experience Requirements:
· 3 years verifiable experience in general maintenance supervision or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures
· 3 - 5 years supervisor experience preferred
